Pamala Pilkington

Social Work Student Intern

I bring a compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. My experience includes utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindful-based approaches to help individuals manage emotional distress, improve coping skills, and work through challenging life experiences. I also assisted with the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS) group, which supports the development of social skills and emotional intelligence.

I believe that past experiences do not define you; healing is possible, and I am committed to guiding individuals on their journey to recovery. I prioritize clear communication and work hard to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where trust and collaboration can flourish. My passion lies in advocating for and supporting those who have faced adversity, including survivors of abuse, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking. I am dedicated to working with both children and adults, offering a holistic approach to
healing and empowering clients to regain control over their lives.
