Sara Zandford, LCSW
Over the past eight years I have worked with a variety of people struggling with a range of obstacles including anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, chronic and terminal illness, Postpartum Depression, infant or pregnancy loss, child loss, difficulties within the school system, domestic violence, and those impacted by the criminal justice system. In these roles I have worked with school age children as young as 5 as well as adults. I enjoy working with my clients to find the interests and skills they already have and enjoy most to help in therapeutic healing.
I have professional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy (TF-CBT), and Exposure Response Therapy. I have frequently used a trauma informed approach to help those struggling with trauma related to grief and medical illness. I will work with you to develop an approach that will best meet what you need to achieve your goals.
I once read that the most important step one can take is not the first step, it's the next step, always the next step. Although in a work of fiction, I found that there was so much truth in this. Too often in life we are faced with obstacles that make that next step seem too difficult. My goal is to walk alongside you as we continue to take that next step
